Who We Are
Non-Profit collecting and distributing coats. |
Dan Siracusa of Siracusa Moving and Storage started Button Up Connecticut in 1992. Over the last 20 years, more than 750,000 coats have been distributed to Connecticut men, women, and children.
There is a great need out there and our goal is to fill it as best we can. For individuals looking for coats, we request that they please contact a local social service agency, school, church or similar organization that may pick-up the coats on their behalf. We collect coats all year long and distribute to local non-profit agencies throughout the winter months. Since distribution is by appointment only, we request that the organization calls the Button Up Connecticut hotline so we may send then the appropriate paperwork for scheduling. |
How we find those in need |
We send out a mailing to CT organizations (ie shelters, churches, food pantries, etc) letting them know about the coat drive and they let us know approximately how many coats they need and then they send a rep out to pick up the coats to bring back to their organization for distribution.

Want to get involved? |
The best way you can help is to conduct a coat drive at your office or organization.
